A party, not a duel
- Everyone actsYour party takes a slot each and every one of them moves on your turn — so you aren't choosing one action, you're choosing three and the order they land in.
- Your own manaThere's no shared pool filled by lands. Each character brings their own and spends it on their own abilities, so running a caster dry is something you do to yourself. Plenty of them have none at all — a knight swings a sword, and the bar simply isn't drawn.
- The fallen stay putA character who drops holds their slot rather than the line closing up. That's what gives a raise something to raise — and what means a summon lands on top of a body and destroys it.
The set
Every card's metalwork is mixed from its own artwork, so the frame belongs to the illustration rather than sitting on top of it.
